. . . p r e s e n t s . . . some of Storybook Dreams Click illustration to view enlargement. Woolybuns Huckleberry Finn --- Huck is my pure German buck, from German import lines. His father is Samson's Sir Prize who was bred by Leslie Samson from her recent German imports. This picture shows Huck with six weeks worth of wool growth. Huckleberry has an amazing density to his wool, attesting to the work that has been done in Germany to increase wool production. His temperament is very laid back and easy going. Woolybuns Willy Wonka --- Willy is a high percentage German Hybrid buck with English Angora in his background. Willy was shorn the day before this picture was taken, hence he is showing off a "buzz cut" hairstyle. He is a chocolate color pattern rabbit, and that is why he is named after the famous story book chocolate maker. Willy's fiber is very soft and his face is adorable but also, Willy is Mr. Personality plus, very adventurous and always on the go ! Woolybuns Muppet --- Muppet is Willy's daughter. She is a German/English cross, with 72% German Angora ancestry. Muppet's color is unusual and rare. I believe it to be what is called "lynx coloration". Muppet's fully furnished ears give her the cutest look ! Her wool is very fine and she is one of my best "snuggle buns !" Delly Delights Gretel --- Gretel is my purebred German Angora doe, who is waiting to mature a bit before presenting me with a wonderful litter of pure German babies, hopefully in early spring of 2004. Gretel has a very fine wool with a very fast rate of growth. Presently, I harvest a full three inches off of this girl, every three months ! In addition, her wool does not matt anywhere ! Gretel insists on nuzzling noses with me every time I feed and water any of my rabbits and she has been a very curious bunny since her arrival here, when she was only eight weeks old. At seven months old, in October 2003, Gretel is one of my biggest rabbits. Storybook Dreams Mary Poppins --- Mary is named for one of my all time favorite movies and, like the original Mary Poppins, this little girl is "Practically Perfect In Every Way" ! In this picture, Mary is only a twelve week old baby and already, she has a three inch staple length of beautiful, honey gold fiber. Her wool color is yet developing and until she matures, it is not possible to accurately determine what color label to give her but, whatever we call it, I think she is gorgeous. Mary's mother is Muppet and her father is Huckleberry Finn. Storybook Dreams Anne Shirley --- Anne was supposed to be sold but, from the time Anne bunny was only three weeks old, my 18 year old daughter found her to be the best cuddling bunny to snuggle up with and tell her worries to and she fell in love with her ! So, , Anne has a home with us for life and was named after my daughter's favorite story book character of Green Gables fame. Anne has an unbelievable full fuzzy face; she is a wild-grey colored rabbit, with dark, smokey gray wool. She is Mary Poppins sister, a progeny of the same Muppet/Huckleberry breeding. Anne is twelve weeks old in this photograph.
